Ignore List

General#

Ignoring somebody hides their chat and stops their private messages reaching you. Like your friends list, it is stored on your account, so it applies on every server the moment you set it.

The player is never told, and nothing they see changes. You can ignore up to 100 players.

Ignoring A Player#

Command What It Does
/ignore <player> Stop seeing their chat and messages
/ignorelist Everyone you are ignoring
/unignore <player> Stop ignoring them

The Ignored Players tab in /preferences does the same job with heads you can click: it lists everyone you are ignoring, and clicking one removes the ignore.

What It Does And Does Not Do#

An ignore is one-directional and only affects what you see:

  • Their chat messages stop appearing for you, on every channel.
  • Their private messages no longer reach you.
  • A friend request from them never arrives, and one you send them reports as sent but goes nowhere.

It does not hide them in the world, mute them for anybody else, or tell staff anything.

Staff cannot be ignored. If you are ignoring someone, you also cannot friend them until you run /unignore.

Ignoring Is Not Reporting#

Hiding a player stops you seeing them; it does nothing about what they are doing to everyone else. If somebody is breaking the network rules, report it. Ignoring them on top of that is fine, but it is not the report.
