Referrals

General#

Referrals pay you for bringing real players to Omniverse. Your friend joins, names you while they are still new, and from then on you earn Omnicoin every time they pass a playtime milestone. They get a welcome bonus of their own.

Open the menu with /referral. It has three tabs: Your Recruits shows everyone you have brought and what each has earned you, Rewards lists the payouts, and How It Works shows whether you currently meet the requirements to refer.

Claiming A Referral#

This is done by the new player, not by you. They run /referral <your name>, or open /referral, click Someone Referred You? and type the name in chat.

It can only be done once per account and only while they are still new: under 5 hours of playtime. There is no way to add or change a referral afterwards, so it is worth mentioning early.

A claim is refused if the name is not a real player, if they have already used a referral, if they name themselves, or if the two of you try to refer each other.

What You Earn#

You are paid per recruit, in four steps, as they keep playing. Playtime counts on any game mode, so a recruit who moves between servers is still building your reward.

Reward What your recruit needs You earn
First Steps 2h playtime across 2 days, on a game mode rather than the lobby 25 Omnicoin
First Week 10h playtime across 3 days, 7 days after the referral 75 Omnicoin
First Month 20h playtime across 3 days, 28 days after the referral 200 Omnicoin
Veteran 50h playtime across 3 days, 90 days after the referral 400 Omnicoin

That is 700 Omnicoin for one recruit who stays. First Steps is held for 3 days before it lands in your balance and shows as pending until then; the later three pay out the moment they are earned.

What Your Friend Earns#

The player who was referred gets a one-off 100 Omnicoin welcome bonus. It pays when they clear the First Steps requirements, not the moment they type the command, and is held for the same 3 days.

Before You Can Refer#

You need all of the following before anyone can name you:

  • 20 hours of playtime
  • an account at least 14 days old
  • Discord linked with /link
  • no active ban

The Can You Refer? item in the How It Works tab shows each requirement with your own numbers against it, so you can see what is left.

Limits#

Referrals reward recruiting, not volume, so the rate drops as you bring more people in a short span:

Recruits in the last 30 days Rate
First 5 Full
6th to 15th Half
16th onward Nothing until the window rolls forward

A recruit's rate is fixed when their first reward pays, so someone who starts at full rate stays at full rate all the way to Veteran.

There is also a bonus for recruits who stick: once you have referred 10 players, if at least half of your last 10 reached First Week, your First Month and Veteran rewards pay 1.25x.

Alt accounts do not work. Sharing an address with a banned account refuses the claim outright, and referrals are checked against the network rules like anything else.
