Achievements

General#

Achievements track lifetime totals across every round you have ever played. They pay out automatically, with a title on screen and a broadcast in chat when one lands.

Open them at the Achievements NPC in the lobby or with /achievements. The menu has two pages: the tiered ladders, and the one-off challenges.

The Ladders#

Six ladders, seven tiers each, running from a first tier you will clear in an evening to a seventh that takes hundreds of hours.

Ladder Tracks Tier I Tier VII
Zombie Slayer Zombies killed 25 5,000
Humanity's End Humans killed 25 5,000
Marksman Gun kills 25 5,000
Close Quarters Melee kills 10 2,500
Gold Rush Gold earned 1,000 250,000
Victorious Games won 5 1,000

Rewards scale with the tier. The first tier of each pays 250 to 300 gold, and every seventh tier pays 10,000, except Victorious which climbs to 15,000.

The ladders reward exactly the things you were going to do anyway, so they fill in on their own. The only real decision they create is whether to favour guns or melee, since Marksman and Close Quarters track separately and Close Quarters asks for fewer kills at every tier.

One-Off Achievements#

The second page holds twenty-three standalone challenges, and they are deliberately hidden. Locked entries show as a red pane with their numbers masked, so working out what unlocks them is part of the point.

The wiki lists what exists and what it pays. It does not list how to get them.

Achievement Reward
Double Tap 1,500
Last Stand 3,000
Track Star 5,000
Immovable 5,000
Commander 5,000
Mad Bomber 5,000
Fallout 5,000
Venomous 5,000
Apocalypse 7,500
Pack Leader 7,500
Sharpshooter 7,500
Samurai 7,500
Field Medic 7,500
Detective 7,500
Master Crafter 7,500
Architect 7,500
Demolitionist 7,500
Patient Zero 10,000
Super Spreader 10,000
Marathon 10,000
Veteran 10,000
Millionaire 25,000
Champion 25,000

Some of them show a hint in-game once you have found them, and the names are chosen to be suggestive rather than cryptic. Between the two, most players work out several without help.

Millionaire and Champion are the two 25,000 gold payouts and are the long-term goals of the mode. Nobody has stumbled into either by accident.

Total Value#

The six ladders pay 138,000 gold across all forty-two tiers, and the one-off page adds another 192,000, for a total of about 330,000.

For comparison, buying every zombie class at standard price costs 37,600. A player who clears the achievement list will never be short of gold again.
