Weapons
General#
Nearly every weapon in Outbreak is found, not owned. A handful of cheap items can be bought in the pre-round Item Shop, but the real arsenal comes out of loot chests and the crafting menu once the round is running.
Guns almost never come loaded. Most spawn with only a few rounds in the magazine, so finding the right ammunition matters more than finding the gun.
The Categories#
| Category | What It Covers |
|---|---|
| Guns | Seventeen firearms across pistols, SMGs, rifles, snipers and shotguns, plus the five ammunition types |
| Melee Weapons | Four close-range weapons with limited durability and no ammo cost |
| Throwables | The Grenade and the Molotov |
| Utility Items | Bandage, Syringe, Radiation Tablet and Scanner |
| Weapon Skins | Seventeen cosmetic finishes for every upgradeable weapon |
Upgrading#
Every gun and every craftable melee weapon has its own permanent upgrade tree, bought in the lobby with parts collected during rounds. Upgrades follow the weapon, not the round, so a modified Glock-19 you loot in a future game is already better than the stock one.
Dropping Weapons#
Dropping a weapon asks for confirmation: press drop again within three seconds to actually let it go. That is deliberate, since throwing away the only rifle you have found is usually fatal.
