Jobs

General#

Jobs pay you for playing the game: mining, building, farming, hunting, and more. Each job tracks its own level and pays money plus job experience for its activities. Open the jobs menu with /jobs to browse, join, and check your progress.

You can hold up to 3 jobs at once. Every job you hold beyond the first reduces your money income by 5% and job experience by 1%, so two jobs pay 95% and three pay 90% of full rate - still far more total income than one job alone.

Earnings appear in your action bar and pay out in short batches every few seconds.

Leveling#

  • Every job caps at level 200. The experience needed per level keeps growing, so early levels fly by and late levels are a grind.
  • Pay scales with progress: each job level adds 1% to that job's base income. At level 100 you earn roughly double the listed table rates.
  • Your job title climbs as you level: Novice (0), Apprentice (25), Initiate (50), Journeyman (75), Adept (100), Master (125), Grandmaster (150), and Legendary (200).
  • Jobs never expire from inactivity, and they keep paying money even at max level.

Switching Jobs#

You can leave and join jobs freely with /jobs. Rejoining a job you left costs 30% of its levels, with one exception: a job left at max level comes back untouched. There is a short cooldown before you can rejoin a job you just left.

Good to Know#

  • Mobs from spawners pay full price for the Hunter job.
  • Placing and quickly breaking the same block pays nothing - the anti-exploit timer catches it.
  • Furnaces and brewing stands you use keep paying passively while they smelt and brew (up to 20 of each).
  • Breaking the bottom block of sugar cane, bamboo, or kelp pays for the whole column.
  • There is no tax on job income and no hourly earnings cap.
