The Abyssal Lantern is one of the relics of the old mines, pulled out of loot chests in the Diamond Mine. It appears in all sections at roughly 0.1% per item rolled, so expect to open a lot of chests.

Tool Power#
The Abyssal Lantern can also upgrade the relics on your Season Tools pickaxe. It unlocks Lantern II (Night Vision and Fire Resistance), and a second one unlocks Lantern III (adds Resistance). Click it in the tool menu to unlock the power, and it is used up when you do.
