Mines
General Information#
There are two entrances to the mines, one being the "Old Mines Entrance" and the other being the "Mines Elevator". You can unlock the Mines Elevator by completing Going Deeper.
The mines are divided up into different sections, with each section acting as its own mine. Some mines like Coal and Copper consist of multiple layers while others like the Redstone Mine have more unique approaches. Each mine is rich in a different type of ore.
Watch your back down there - dying in the mines drops half of the ores you're carrying. Bank your haul regularly rather than risking one deep run with full pockets.
In order, the mines are the Coal Mine, Copper Mine, Iron Mine, Emerald Mine, Redstone Mine, and Diamond Mine.
There are also 3 Special Mines you can find that will allow to mine lapis, amethyst, and quartz.
Elevator#
The Mines Elevator is the fast way down. Each mine has its own elevator floor, and riding to a floor requires an Elevator Pass - earned from crates (Immortal crates drop them in 6× and 12× bundles) and voting rewards.
Floor access itself is unlocked through the mines questline: completing each mine's access quests opens the next floor, with the elevator running from the Coal Mine all the way to the Diamond Mine and back to the surface. Skip the passes and you can always take the long way through the Old Mines Entrance on foot.
