General#
The UMP-9 is the strangest weapon in the game. It fires a three-round burst, and each round throws two projectiles, so a single trigger pull puts six projectiles downrange for up to 18 damage.
That comes out of a fifteen-round magazine, which means five bursts and you are empty. It is the closest thing survivors have to a shotgun that uses 9mm.

Extended Mag is close to mandatory: the stock fifteen rounds are five bursts, and the upgrade adds several more. Because every projectile scales, High Powered is worth more on the UMP-9 than on any other 9mm weapon.
